First painted in 2005, Banksy’s Police Kids Jack and Jill shows two children running through water, wearing bullet proof vests with POLICE” written across the front. The children are in their pre-adolescence ” an innocent time of play and laughter, The pigtails on the young girl appear to move as she skips, and the small bag in her left hand looks to contain flowers, perhaps freshly picked that day. All in all, it seems to be a quaint, childhood scenebut also a time when children are starting to be more aware of the world and life has started changing for them.
