Banksy's Los Angeles Barely Legal show in 2006, we met with Richard Duardo of Modern Multiples to acquire a set of the LA ... A new short documentary called Printing Banksy: Modern Multiples Creates the LA Prints proves that point. This 15 minute film puts a new spin on Banksy’s 2006 Los Angeles art show Barely Legal, which is a huge part of Exit Through the Gift Shop by focusing on the prints that came out of it. Filmmakers Brad Beyer and Robert Dragan were lucky enough to speak to the man responsible for making Banksy’s limited edition prints for that show and story behind them is fascinating.

Rare Banksy LA Sale end Unsigned

Edition of only 100

Sale Ends

Only 100 of this print were ever put up for sale back in 2006 at Banksy’s LA show Barely Legal.
The first four each have significant differences to the rest of the run subsequently released in the UK. The full run of the last two prints (Festival and Sale Ends) were never released, meaning that only 100 copies of these prints were ever officially released.

Banksy's graphic prints, informed by his street art origins, are rich in social critique and biting humor. Here, in a print sold exclusively at the artist’s 2006 Barely Legal show in Los Angeles, Banksy shows cloaked figures prostrating in front of a sign that reads “Sale Ends Today.” Pointing to the near-religious fervour with which contemporary society regards consumer products, this print is an icon of Banksy’s oeuvre.
